I am honored to offer you our fall releases - the remaining lineup of the absolutely stellar 2007 single-vineyard pinot noirs. This is my best vintage to date, a sentiment echoed by Ronn Wiegand, the first person in the world to become both a Master Sommelier and Master of Wine. “MacPhail’s 2007 Pinot Noirs are his best yet …” (Restaurant Wine, issue # 130)

We understand this past year has not been “business as usual” for anyone. We have learned to adjust our living expenses to deal with today’s economic stresses. At MacPhail Family Wines, we are very grateful to you, our mailing list customers, for your continued and steady support during these challenging times. We remain committed - especially under these circumstances - to maintain our dedication to crafting excellent and distinctive handmade wines, and to personalized service.

In appreciation for your loyal support, I am offering a 10% discount on any amount purchased through August 31, 2009. We will pay the shipping.

We produced only small quantities of two of the wines: 2007 Wightman House Vineyard (129 cases) and the 2007 Sangiacomo Vineyard (170 cases). Experience tells us these wines will sell out quickly. MacPhail’s 2006 Wightman House Vineyard Pinot Noir received widespread acclaim, and the San Francisco Chronicle named it among their Top 100 Wines of 2008. I believe this 2007 is even better, a rare gem indeed!

We are continuing to offer the option of picking up your order at our new winery. And we’ve scheduled two open house dates for your convenience. See “Special Open House Dates” in this newsletter.
