Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Sonoma Coast

Sonoma Coast Pinot NoirLayers of Flavors

You might call it a Sonoma Coast survey, or a Tour de Sonoma (we do love our GranFondo here) so with each vintage, I select lots from eight or so vineyards to create a master cuvée featuring layers of flavors driven by 11 varied clones planted in our vineyards.

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

2013 Vintage

Tasting Notes

Selections from the Petaluma Gap and Green Valley, southeastern Sonoma and the Sebastopol Hills drive the blend, which in this offering is quite simply pretty, with a medium body and floral notes leading to somewhat spicy, herbal, even earthy aromas followed by pomegranate, tart sour cherry and just a hint of sweet cherry jam. It’s a wine with a sense of purpose, and that purpose is pure enjoyment.
